The Eugenia Hill Marketing Scholarship, established in honor of Alumna Erika Hill’s late grandmother, awards a $1,000 scholarship to a hard working, goal oriented, Clark Atlanta University School of Business sophomore or junior female student to help her pursue a Business Administration Degree with a concentration in Marketing.
This scholarship is intended to alleviate the financial pressure for the selected recipient and allow her to focus on her grades, goals, and aspirations. Learn more about the scholarship and apply below.
About Ms. Erika E. Hill, CAU ’02 Valedictorian
Alumna Erika Hill is a 2002 graduate and Valedictorian of Clark Atlanta University where she earned a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Ms. Hill currently the Director of Programs and Community Engagement in the Office of the Nassau County Comptroller. She is also the Principal of Vision Street Research a community research consultancy specializing in market research and project management. Alumna Hill received her Master’s in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers-Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy where she focused on Community Development and Affordable Housing.

About the Scholarship
Purpose: Need/Merit-Based Scholarship
Amount: $1,000 (one-time award/ non-renewable)
Deadline: January 24, 2020
Qualifications for Consideration:
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at Clark Atlanta University
- Classification: Sophomore or Junior
- Gender: Female
- Major/Concentration: Business Administration- Marketing
- GPA: 3.25 or above
- Demonstrated financial need (FAFSA)

– Submit a two-page essay that answers the following questions:
1. Why did you select a marketing concentration?
2. How would you like to use your marketing degree to positively impact your community?
3. What, if any, obstacles do you feel you may have to overcome being a woman in the marketing/marketing research field?
Award Announcement: Week of January 27, 2020 (Spring 2020 Semester)
Disbursement: The Spring 2020 recipient will receive the $1,000 scholarship over two semesters. $500 will be disbursed Spring 2020 and Fall 2020.
SBANA established named annual scholarships are administered by the SBANA Scholarship Committee, co-chaired by Myrah M. Murrell (CAU ’07) SBANA President and Dr. Edward L. Davis, CAU Professor and Christine McEachern Smith Chair.
Selection Process: One eligible student will be selected based on qualifications and essay. Essays will be scored blindly by the Scholarship Committee. (The SBANA Scoring Rubric is available here)
