The Charles S. Singleton Legacy Scholarship was established to honor the legacy of Mr. Charles S. Singleton. Alumnus Singleton was a two-time graduate of Clark Atlanta University (Clark College ’70, Accounting and Atlanta University MBA ’82, Finance). While at CAU he pledged the Alpha Phi chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.
The scholarship was created by his family, Sharon, Sharonda and Charles; who are all CAU graduates.
The Charles S. Singleton Legacy Scholarship will award $500 to two undergraduate students in their sophomore or junior year that have concentrations in Accounting or Finance.

Qualifications for Consideration:
– Classification: Sophomore or Junior
– Major: Accounting or Finance
– GPA: 3.0 or above
– Demonstrated financial need (FAFSA)
– Must be enrolled full-time, minimum 15 credit hours

– Submit a 250-500 word essay that answers the following question:
What will you do to leave a legacy for the next generation of CAU business students?

Additional Information: SBANA established annual named scholarships are administered by the SBANA Scholarship Committee, co-chaired by Myrah M. Murrell (CAU ’07) SBANA Immediate Past President and Dr. Edward L. Davis, CAU Professor and Christine McEachern Smith Chair.
